Hello, my name is Amélie. I live in Quebec City with my partner and our daughter Léana. I am a sleep and well-being specialist for the baby, but also a social worker since 2012 (mainly in child protection), and yoga teacher specialized in trauma informed yoga. I experienced my pregnancy and Léana’s first year during the Covid-19 pandemic. The stress, the incredible lack of support, but also the external pressure, the lack of confidence in my parent instinct, all of which led to postpartum depression. I never wanted to do sleep training. But the endless amount of conflicting information on the Internet and social media made me obsess about baby sleep and added even more stress to my sense of being. When I went to a pediatrician about my daughter’s health problem, she told me that the only solution was to let her cry at night while ignoring her calls. I knew then that I had to train myself about sleeping babies and that from that moment on, I would always listen to my mother’s instinct. I’m here to help you listen to it too, trust you, and improve your baby’s sleep by respecting its unique rhythm and needs. I prefer working with french speaking clients but my english is okay too!
